19.5.2013 - 19.5.2013: Nobber Fair Day

Nobber Fair Day is an annual event that is held on the third Sunday of May. The current event has been running since 2006 reviving an old tradition of a fair that was held in the village for centuries.

With an unrivalled collection of rare breeds of farm animals on display the competition for rosettes and prizes across all categories is particularly tough. As this is a genuine fair day you can expect to find a wide range of activities and attractions including a Vintage Rally, local artisan products and crafts and amusements and entertainment for all the family. Nobber Fair Day will give you an insight into rural life past and present and the opportunity to enjoy a warm and friendly Irish welcome. Come early as there were over 10,000 people at last year’s fair.

19.5.2013 - 21.5.2013: Dunboyne Cycling Festival

The Dunboyne Cycling Festival is a cycling extravaganza hosted annually to coincide with the beginning of the An Post Ras; an international stage race that travels all around Ireland from its starting point in the centre of Dunboyne.

While the Ras attracts cyclists from around the world the local committee thought that the publicity and interest that this high profile event generates was the perfect opportunity to promote cycling; to help encourage physical fitness; to raise money for charity and to give people the opportunity to see the beautiful countryside of County Meath from a bicycle. Over the entire weekend a range of bicycle rides are organised to suit all styles and categories of cycling catering for children all the way up to the active retired. For the entire weekend Dunboyne is transformed into a cycling mecca with a wide range of entertainment and attractions to satisfy all tastes. Get on your bike and ride; there’s a great weekend in store.
